Extract Area Code
Creates a reusable Area Codes Transform from contacts.csv, retaining name and phone while adding the first three phone-number characters as area_code. Supports an in-place line_number update and a clean reset.
About this Model
Extracts area codes from phone numbers in contacts.csv through a single structured Transform named Area Codes. The default result retains the original name and phone columns and adds area_code using the first three characters of each phone number. Repeated runs reuse the existing Transform. A change request can update it in place to also add line_number from the last four digits. Reset removes generated results and owned side effects while preserving the source CSV and delivered model assets; a subsequent run restores the clean default result.
